Macron dressed as Zelensky: photos of the French president

The photos of French President Emmanuel Macron in jeans, long beard and sweatshirt with the emblem of the paratroopers

PARIS The official photographer Soazig de la Moissonire has been posting some pictures of the French president on Instagram for a few days Emmanuel Macron while addressing the international crisis from his Elysée office, on the phone with the other heads of state. Macron heard from the Ukrainian president on Sunday 13 March Zelensky and the American Biden, and the next day here are the images: we see a Macron with a long beard, in jeans and a black sweatshirt with the CPA 10 logo standing for Commando Parachutiste de l’Air n 10, a special force of paratroopers of room in Orlans-Bricy.

As Pete Souza followed and immortalized Barack Obama in the White House, so Soazig de la Moissonire has access to the chambers of the Elysée to give Macron a behind-the-scenes portrait. A few days ago the black and white shots of a president struggling with the tragedy of history, which many have compared to those of President Kennedy during the missile crisis in Cuba. The new series of photographs seems instead inspired by the style of the Ukrainian president Zelensky, who – under the bombs of the Russians – publishes his videos in military green t-shirts on Telegram. Soazig de la Moissonire moves from the very close-ups – the eyes, the right hand – to a profile photo, to a larger image in which the president’s close collaborators can also be seen – such as diplomatic adviser Emmanuel Bonne or communications manager Anne -Sophie Bradelle – and a large painting by Pierre Soulages.

Macron used to dress casually on weekends, and not the first time you see him in jeans, sweatshirt and long beard, but the concomitance of war in Ukraine and Zelensky’s popularity has focused attention on the paratroopers’ coat of arms: here is a Macron talking to Biden and Zelensky dressed informally, but still head of the Armed Forces.
